What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Assistant Executive Housekeeper position at SILVER REEF CASINO?
Job Summary:
Supervise work activities of Housekeeping staffs to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms in hotel, public areas, casino and offices of the Silver Reef Casino Resort. Assign duties, inspect work and equipment and take corrective action. Train new housekeepers and directly and indirectly supervise all housekeeping staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED or three to five years housekeeping or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
- Must be 21 or older.
- Previous Housekeeping supervisor or manager experience is an asset.
- Hands on leadership style with high energy and positive attitude.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Word or related software.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic accounting skills.
- Knowledge of proper techniques of using chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; to speak effectively before groups of customers, management and/or team members.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to coordinate special team projects.
- Must possess proven leadership ability necessary to provide general guidance to subordinates
- Must have an eye for detail and able to work flexible shifts.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
- Class II Gaming License
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Implementing operational procedures for the department.
- Maintain records and submit reports concerning personnel, equipment, supplies and general housekeeping activities.
- Training of new personnel.
- Conducting visual inspections to ensure standards are met.
- Report any repairs or discrepancies of rooms.
- Planning and coordinating activities such as Linen inventory, work inspections and inventory of supplies.
- Interacts with guests, Hotel Front Desk and other casino departments in a professional and courteous manner.
- Take charge the Housekeeping operations in the absence of Executive Housekeeper.
- Conduct themselves in an appropriate manner on and off duty.
- Perform other tasks assigned.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasionally required to use computer.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
