Silver Spring Financial is a small accounting firm located in Sugar City, ID. We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of tax preparation experience and possess a solid understanding of accounting concepts. In this role, the candidate will frequently interact with our clients, necessitating clear, professional, and effective communication at all times. The ability to articulate complex tax concepts in an understandable manner is essential to building trust and ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Preparation: Prepare accurate and compliant tax returns for our diverse client base.
- Client Communication: Engage in professional and clear communication with clients, delivering excellent service.
- Accounting Support: Leverage your understanding of general accounting concepts to support broader firm activities.
- Utilize Technology: Work efficiently with QuickBooks Online or Desktop, Ultra Tax, and other accounting software.
- Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements when required.
- Contribute to Payroll Processes: Proficiency in payroll processes is considered an advantage.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of tax preparation experience
- Understanding of general accounting concepts
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Capable of working remotely and prioritizing tasks without supervision
- Enthusiastic learner and team player
Additional Skills (preferred but not required):
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop
- Experience with Ultra Tax
- Knowledgeable in payroll processes and reporting
- Familiar with compiled and reviewed financial statements
Position Details:
- Location: Primarily remote with potential for in-person work if desired. Position will develop into half in-office, half remote.
- Schedule: Flexible work hours ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week, with overtime available during tax season.
- Compensation: $35/hr-$45/hr depends on experience
