Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to various locations. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, excellent customer service skills, and a strong commitment to safety.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including manual transmission and commercial driving vehicles.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and any issues encountered on the road.
- Load and unload goods using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in warehouse operations when necessary, including moving products and heavy lifting.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in route driving with a strong understanding of navigation systems.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Experience in warehouse environments is preferred.
- Strong manual dexterity for operating various types of vehicles and equipment.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
