We are searching for a reliable apartment maintenance technician to oversee the day-to-day running of our apartment building. The apartment maintenance technician's responsibilities include cleaning communal areas, and performing ad hoc painting, electrical, and carpentry duties. Apartment Maintenance Technician Responsibilities :
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
- Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
- Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped
- Oiling door knobs, locks, hinges, and gates, as required.
- Replacing carpets and wooden floors.
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in communal areas.
- Disposing of trash found in communal areas.
- Tracking inventory to ensure that you have adequate maintenance supplies.
- Ensuring that fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency exits remain in excellent working condition at all times.
- Unlocking apartments in instances where tenants have lost or forgotten their keys.
- Scheduling repairs that warrant special technical skills.
Apartment Maintenance Technician Requirements :
Pay : $16 - $23 hourly DOE
