Job Summary

Deliver a warm, welcoming experience by providing attentive and responsive service. Greet guests with genuine hospitality and ensure efficient, thoughtful seating that enhances their dining experience.

Activities & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Act in alignment with the mission of Office 842, LLC: We craft exceptional guest experiences.
• Greet guests warmly and seat them efficiently based on availability and server rotation.
• Open doors for guests when possible and provide menus upon seating.
• Inform guests of their server’s name and any featured offerings.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and estimated wait times.
• Record guest names and party size when immediate seating is unavailable.
• Locate waiting guests when tables become available.
• Assign guests to tables based on their needs while maintaining balanced server rotations.
• Respond to guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism.
• Maintain communication with kitchen, management, and service staff to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor dining and service areas for cleanliness and proper setup.
• Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and stock availability, restocking as needed.
• Support bartenders by restocking glassware, filling ice, and maintaining bar cleanliness.
• Answer phone calls and assist with guest inquiries.
• Relay messages between guests, servers, and bussers.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improvement.
• Support team members to maintain service standards and efficient operations.
• Step in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant service.

Supplemental Responsibilities

• Assist with takeout orders.
• Process payments when necessary.
• Support dining room staff to ensure prompt and courteous service.
• Capture photos and videos during service for use in social media posts.
• Assist with preparing and serving food and beverages when necessary.

Tools & Technology

• POS System – Cash registers, point-of-sale terminals, and payment processing devices.
• Smartphones & Tablets – For team communication, scheduling, and reservation management.
• Software – Office suite, web-based applications, calendar and scheduling software, and table management or reservation platforms.
• Beverage Equipment – Carbonated and non-carbonated beverage dispensers, commercial coffee and iced tea makers, and ice dispensers.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.66 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
