General Summary:
Supervises the installation and maintenance of end user commercial managed services including but not limited to voice, broadband, phone systems, data equipment/services, door access and networking. Will also be responsible to achieve organizational goals, maximizing resources, meet objectives, budget, safety, and strategic and operational plans.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise, coordinate, and perform tasks associated with the commercial installation, monitoring and maintenance activities related to the end user voice, broadband, wireless, door access, hosted phone and other business solution systems.
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to recommend and onboard new business solution products and strategies.
- Supervise the installation of work orders and ensure they are within budget estimates and completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain contractor relationships, ensuring that all policies and approved methods are followed and used uniformly.
- Supervises personnel, which includes work allocation and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Responsible for tracking and reporting of departmental metrics to ensure that corporate strategies and goals are being met.
- Responsible for employee development, including hiring, cross training, motivation, retention and performance evaluations of staff.
- Assists with budgeting and planning processes.
- Prepares and reviews various documents, i.e. contractor invoicing, data forms, network records and other reports as needed.
- Promotes and adheres to all safety policies and procedures, ensures staff have necessary licenses and certifications.
- Promotes company culture and adheres to the core values and corporate policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements:
- A related bachelor's degree is preferred. Four years of relevant experience is required.
- Proven experience in LAN networking, phone systems, IT systems, working with customers and system implementation.
- Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary to resolve outages or as the job duties require, including managing the on-call schedule for the business solutions team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. The ideal person for this job would be a team player, personable, professional, upbeat, and energetic, takes initiative, uses tact, and diplomacy.
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to establish business and financial justifications for initiatives.
- Work requires continual attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Resourceful, roll up the sleeves attitude. The successful candidate must have the initiative to resolve problems, seek answers independently, and enthusiastically persist until goals are achieved.
- Ability to hold a valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver's License.
Working Conditions:
All work is generally performed within an office and public setting environments. There will be regular travel throughout the company service area to market products and services, and out-of-area travel for training and seminars. Working hours are generally 40-50 hours per week.
