Job Summary
Our company has an immediate opening for an Accounting Clerk with a major focus on Accounts Payable. This position will process accounts payable, provide accounting and administrative support, perform extensive data entry duties, and ensure the accuracy of our records. The right individual for this position will have the ability to diversify and grow with our company.
Duties
· Maintain up-to-date AP files and records
· Verify quantities and rates for time and material invoices, confirm parts and repairs invoices with shop, process all other AP
· Use Quickbooks to enter vendor invoices for payables, create checks for signatures
· Work with material vendors and customers for pricing/payment disputes, validating accuracy of data
· Fulfill requests for missing ticketed tonnage load and/or truck rental documents, maintaining great communication and positive relationships with vendors
· Print tickets for invoicing
· Work with Project Coordinator and Controller to maintain trucking agreements
· Collect and enter W-9s, enter new vendors
· Monitor general AP box, answer correspondence and route/file emails
· Reconcile vendor statements
· Reconcile toll bills
· Reconcile credit cards
· Process intercompany transactions (AP and AR)
· Answer phones, collect deliveries, direct guests
· Miscellaneous tasks to assist president and managers
· Other office and administrative duties as assigned
· Will grow into backing up preparation of Accounts Receivable for illness/vacation
Skills
· Microsoft Office Suite – intermediate level preferred
· Strong mathematical skills with keen attention to detail
· Quickbooks experience required
· Previous construction experience/knowledge a plus
· Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy
· Dedication to get the work done
· Offers contingent upon negative drug test and background check
· Accounts Payable – 1 year experience
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Must thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Owns responsibilities, yet functions well on a team
· Willing to learn and take direction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
