Responsibilities of a Physical Therapist :

Evaluate residents to determine their physical therapy needs and create individualized treatment plans.

Implement and supervise physical therapy treatments to help residents achieve their goals.

Monitor residents’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Educate residents and their families about exercises and activities that can help improve mobility and prevent injury.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive resident care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards of practice.

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans.

Provide training and guidance to nursing staff on proper techniques for assisting residents with mobility and exercises.

Physical Therapist Qualifications :

Current, valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Pennsylvania.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
