Silver Treasures at St. Augustine, an Assisted Living Community is looking for a Full-Time Activities Assistant. You will be responsible for:
- Assist in planning and organizing activities for senior residents in an assisted living facility
- Provide support and companionship to residents during activities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and physical well-being
- Coordinate and facilitate group activities, such as games, crafts, and outings
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and engaging environment for residents
- Maintain documentation of resident participation and behavior during activities
Requirements:
- Experience or knowledge in senior care, assisted living, dementia care, or memory care is preferred
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with older adults
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members
- Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate activities and events
