Description
STR is seeking an Acquisition Associate to be an integral part of an 8-member acquisition team in our East Memphis office. The ideal candidate is outgoing, goal-oriented, results-driven, and quantitative-minded. You will work in collaboration with the acquisition team and owner of the company to search for new opportunities that fit the company’s acquisition criteria.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform 20 to 30 cold calls per day and generate warm leads.
- Work with our CEO to research and generate new acquisition strategies.
- Develop and build relationships with individual owners over the phone, in person, etc.
- Manage leads and follow up through daily Customer Relationship Management (CRM) use to update and stay on task until deals are closed.
- Prepare financial models for new acquisitions, including detailed cash flow and return analysis.
- Perform property and market research.
- Prepare Letters of Intent (LOIs).
- Negotiate Purchase and Sale Agreements (PSAs).
- Assist with conducting due diligence activities.
- Travel to prospect to meet new owners.
- Travel to visit deals under contract for Due Diligence (DD).

Qualifications
The qualified candidate will meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business & Finance and/or Real Estate related field.
- Ideally, you will have experience in real estate or a sales-related field.
- Understand the sales process.
- Understand how to generate and close leads.
- Proficient knowledge of Excel and MS Office.
- Problem solving and analytical skills required.
- Must be a self-starter.
