Silver Tree Residential is looking for a dependable, quality focused Maintenance Technician to join our team in Martinsville, IN. We are looking for a reliable team member who is willing to uphold our community to the highest standards.
Summary of Requirements:
- Working with upper management & directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
- Advising the Community Director of maintenance problems and of programs designed to solve them.
- Inspecting, scheduling, and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Directors.
- Capable of dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors, and co-workers.
- Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators. Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry is required.
- Assist in the make ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
- Establishing daily work schedules for his/her staff (if any) and monitoring their production, efficiency and the materials used.
- Knowing the current condition of all vacancies.
- Participating in the hiring of maintenance personnel.
- Holding classes for the maintenance staff (if any), as needed, to improve their efficiency.
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date inventory of tools and supplies.
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, secure workshop.
- Prior property maintenance experience is preferred.
- A valid Driver's License and dependable transportation is required.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of property maintenance experience. It is essential that the Maintenance staff report to work at his/her regularly scheduled work hours and have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.
