What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concierge position at Silverado Resort and Spa?
SALARY RANGE: $22.00-25.00 per hour. The Concierge is responsible for providing personalized service to all guests. The individual must be able to answer guests’ questions about Napa Valley Attractions and local events, make restaurant, wineries, and transportation reservations, have a thorough knowledge of the resorts’ facilities.
Essential Functions
- Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Offer a warm, sincere and personalized welcome to all guests.
- Initiate conversations with guests, which identify personal preferences in order to create personalized service.
- Have an in-depth knowledge or access to information regarding directions, travel time, cost and various forms of transportation.
- Maintain a constantly updated database with extensive information about local events.
- Be knowledgeable of all VIP arriving guests.
- Be aware of all daily events in the resort.
- Arrange tickets for various attractions as necessary.
- Make and confirm dining reservations.
- Make and confirm all transportation arrangements with contracted limousine company
- Communicate all important details to management and colleagues, throughout the resort
- Disseminate information of relevance within the department
- Must have strong communication skills and able to deal with various types of guests.
- Maintain a clean, neat and organized desk.
- Have a thorough knowledge of direction to various destinations within Napa Valley.
- Provide clear directions for all guests travelling outside the resort.
- Respond to all guest requests within timely manner.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
Qualifications
- Former experience in a similar role in a resort setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
Working Conditions and Schedule
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to spend 75% of workday sitting, standing intermittently, and bending.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Requires manual coordination to operate computer and other business equipment.
