What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Cook III position at Silverado Resort?
SALARY RANGE: $21.00 -$24.00 per hour. This role reports to the Executive Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef and is responsible for the production of baked goods and pastry preparation for banquets and all F&B Outlets.
Essential Functions
- Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Participates in production and quality of baked goods such as breakfast pastries, breads, cakes, cold desserts, and other various pastries to meet resorts’ standards.
- Must be able to follow the recipes and measure the ingredients correctly.
- Operates all commercial kitchen equipment and bake shop equipment correctly and in a safe manner.
- Responsible for individual BEO and/or single outlet production
- Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at workstation and other work areas.
- Assist in training new employees, as needed.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Experience in a resort or a related field preferred.
- Experience in Pastry/Bakery is required.
- In compliance with California laws, Current Food Handlers Certification is required.
Work Conditions and Schedule
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. This can involve bending, kneeling, or stooping.
- Must be able to stand during entire shift.
- Must be able to withstand temperature variations both hot and cold.
