Silverado Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! Our outpatient care team plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care during appointments by coordinating and executing treatment plans and providing thorough client education.
In this role, you will primarily assist during exams and outpatient care, maintain detailed medical records, review treatment plans, and address clients' questions. Additionally, you will coordinate with your team to manage the veterinarian’s orders, ensuring the highest level of patient care and maintaining an efficient workflow to keep exams running on schedule. This position is ideal for those who excel in client engagement and schedule management.
This is a full-time position with five 8-hour shifts scheduled Monday through Saturday.

- Compensation: $20-21/hour, based on experience and skillset
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3 years of consecutive, current VA experience

Required qualifications and skillset:
- 1 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Gentle handling and restraint
- Venipuncture and administering injections
- Recording vital signs and taking radiographs
- Completing small procedures like nail trims and ear cleanings
- Maintaining detailed medical records
