About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Global Settlement and Operations Analyst to join our Operations team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth settlement of global trades, supporting operational processes, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial operations, a strong understanding of global markets, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the settlement of equity, fixed-income, and derivative trades across global markets.
- Reconcile daily trade activity, ensuring accuracy between internal systems, custodians, and counterparties.
- Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, working closely with brokers, custodians, and internal teams.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to settlement deadlines across multiple time zones.
- Manage cash flow processes, including funding and ensuring accurate accounting of trades and transactions.
- Assist in the onboarding of custodians, brokers, and counterparties, ensuring operational readiness.
- Support portfolio accounting by reconciling positions and transactions against custodian records.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all operational processes meet regulatory standards.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and implement process improvements.
- Maintain and update operational policies and procedures to reflect best practices and regulatory changes.
- Assist with the implementation and testing of new operational systems or tools.
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on trade settlement, cash flows, and reconciliation status.
- Act as a liaison between portfolio managers, traders, and external counterparties to resolve operational issues.
- Provide operational support for audits and compliance reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in trade settlement, operations, or a similar role in financial services.
- Familiarity with global markets and settlement processes, including knowledge of T 1/T 2 settlement cycles and market-specific regulations.
- Experience with portfolio management systems and reconciliation tools (e.g., Bloomberg, CTM Advent Moxy, APX or similar platforms).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications; knowledge of VBA or SQL is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
Pay range and compensation package
We anticipate the base salary range for this position at Silvercrest Asset Management Group LLC to be approximately $100,000-130,000 USD. The actual base compensation offered will be determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant years of experience, career progression, qualifications, educational background, certifications or professional licenses, and role-specific skills. Base salary represents one element of Silvercrest Asset Management’s comprehensive compensation package, which also includes robust benefits and may include incentive-based compensation.
