• Possesses outstanding interpersonal, oral, writing, and technology skills.
• Able to collaborate with teachers and parents as partners.
• Able to disciple and mentor middle school students.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellence in teaching the subject matter including grading and recording assessments in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate knowledge in the area of middle school coursework and the ability to explain Science concepts. Conduct STEAM activities, and project-based learning opportunities.
• Demonstrate sound classroom management skills and cultivate a positive learning environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the developmental age of a middle school student.
• Tutor students in the subject matter taught.
• Communicate well with parents and keep them informed of the student’s progress.
• Integrate appropriate technology, use of smartboard, and iPad apps in all instructional strategies, to make student learning collaborative and interactive.
• Support ideas and policies of the administration.
• Prompt and continuous attendance on campus
• Understand the Mission and Vision of Silverdale Baptist Academy
• Committed to protecting the culture of SBA
• Strong and clear Christian testimony
• Strong commitment to a Biblical worldview
• Understands that education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life, and a science of relations

Additional Information

• Willingness to sponsor extra-curricular activities/clubs or be able to coach an athletic team.
• Willingness to obtain an ACSI certification.
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree. Prefer STEAM certification
