The Senior Software Engineer (EA) will lead full software lifecycle efforts across the Product Lead Electronic Attack (PL EA) domain, providing technical oversight, architectural leadership, and hands-on engineering in support of critical EW&C mission systems. Role Overview
The Senior Software Engineer (EA) will lead full software lifecycle efforts across the Product Lead Electronic Attack (PL EA) domain, providing technical oversight, architectural leadership, and hands-on engineering in support of critical EW&C mission systems. This role emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and agile delivery to empower battlefield dominance through advanced cyber capabilities.
Primary Duties
- Provide system design architectures and validate development, implementation, and documentation activities for systems engineering and readiness processes within PL EA.
- Participate in systems engineering integrated product teams and technical forums at PEO and subordinate agency levels.
- Maintain and evolve the AMCS architecture in alignment with current and future mission needs.
- Coordinate with program, project, and product management offices to assess and optimize engineering and integration processes.
- Apply expert technical knowledge in support of Army modernization initiatives and digitized infrastructure fielding efforts.
- Conduct user requirement analyses, develop supporting documentation, perform testing and demonstrations, and coordinate multi-organization efforts.
- Perform risk assessments and lead system integration and engineering tasks for complex DoD systems.
- Up to 20% CONUS travel to support vendor software development oversight.
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
- Proven ability to oversee vendor development efforts, manage risk, and assess resource allocation.
- Experience with agile development processes, including use of Jira, Confluence, Program Trouble Reports (PTR), configuration management, defect tracking, velocity, backlog, and reporting.
- Strong background in software development, testing, and integration oversight within defense environments.
- Knowledge of software troubleshooting, revision control, and configuration management practices.
- Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework and accreditation processes.
- Experience supporting software engineering for EW, SIGINT, or Offensive Cyberspace systems.
- Proficiency with JICD4.2, messaging protocols, system interfaces, and interface control documentation.
- Technical knowledge of VICTORY, JICD 4.2, SOSA, MORA, CMOSS, RedHawk, TOA, TNG, Linux, Java, and Python.
- Experience with user interfaces and customer experience optimization.
- Background in developmental and operational testing environments.
- Understanding of Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) workflows.
- Familiarity with cross-domain solution (CDS) integration.
