This individual will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and effective solutions for our DoD customers within the IC sector.

Role Overview

The Cloud Engineer / Data Scientist will provide expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud computing, and data science to help shape and execute our client's enterprise cloud strategy. This role requires collaboration across teams to drive the adoption of cloud and data solutions from the core to the edge, integrating advanced AI and data techniques to meet organizational goals.

Primary Duties

• Propose methods, tools, and deliverables for integrating and adopting community architecture solutions.
• Capture, review, and assess current state architecture for cloud infrastructure services and capabilities, providing analytical assessments with proposed future strategies.
• Establish and implement a multiple cloud architecture strategy.
• Provide prescriptive guidance for defining minimum viable products (MVP) for regional and edge cloud architectures.
• Develop and execute long-term data strategies that anticipate future needs and trends.
• Explore AI and machine learning techniques within a diverse cloud environment and analyze their impacts on architecture.
• Integrate emerging data sources generated by AI models into a cloud data ecosystem.
• Deliver cloud “Core to Edge” implementation plans and best practices.
• Provide edge MVP launch plan documents and knowledge transfer regarding edge architecture design and strategy.
• Conduct edge requirements assessments and gather details on current state edge solutions, including architecture resiliency.
• Provide recommendations on maturing future state architecture and edge capabilities.
• Champion a data mesh paradigm for cloud data management.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science), or a Bachelor’s degree with 12–15 years of relevant experience.
• Strong technical writing, oral briefing, and executive-level presentation skills.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies.
• Passion for staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with data tagging and taxonomy, API brokers, compute and storage optimization, and qualitative computing.
• Five or more years of experience working with or in the Intelligence Community (IC).
• Knowledge of and experience working with IC policies, directives, and standards.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools/software (e.g., Tableau, MS Power BI) to develop and deliver analysis solutions and visualizations.

Certifications

• Relevant certifications in cloud computing, data science, or architecture are highly desirable.
