Role Overview
The Test & Evaluation Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing test and evaluation activities in collaboration with the Army Evaluation Center and other DoD test agencies. This role plays a key part in supporting software-intensive systems within the Cyber Development Product Office under PM Cyber & Space, focusing on offensive cyber operations capabilities. The position demands technical leadership, coordination, and hands-on involvement in system-level testing and analysis to ensure mission success.
Primary Duties
- Manage the planning and execution of test and evaluation activities with Army Evaluation Center and other external DoD test agencies.
- Lead and participate in system-level technical and operational testing for software-intensive systems.
- Analyze T&E data and develop mission scenarios and evaluation methodologies.
- Prepare and oversee Test Plans and Procedures.
- Lead and participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Test Readiness Reviews.
- Evaluate technical documentation for test readiness and monitor T&E execution.
- Coordinate with testing organizations and data authentication groups throughout the T&E lifecycle.
- Prepare/review key test documentation including Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), specific test plans, schedules, and test reports to support Milestone Decisions and Material Release.
- Up to 20% travel required.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Minimum of six (6) years of progressively complex experience in testing and integration of software-intensive systems, particularly in tactical C4ISR, EW, and Cyber systems.
- Experience in developing and applying measures of performance and effectiveness.
- Hands-on experience with EW and waveform testing.
- Familiarity with databases and automated tools for evaluation and verification.
- Knowledge of T&E policies and procedures aligned with DoD 5000 Acquisition.
- Proven ability to lead test planning, execution, evaluation, and reporting.
- Understanding of formal testing phases including contractor, developmental, operational testing, and user acceptance.
- Experience in preparing detailed test documentation (e.g., test plans, procedures, TEMPs).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field.
