Silverleaf, an exclusive private golf club, is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Fitness and Spa Professional to provide an exceptional wellness experience for our esteemed members and their guests. This role blends fitness expertise, personalized service, and spa operations in a luxurious, member-focused setting.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Fitness & Wellness Services:
- Design and deliver customized fitness programs and health assessments for members and guests.
- Lead group fitness classes tailored to members' needs and provide one-on-one equipment instruction.
- Proactively suggest personal training sessions and promote fitness services.
- Ensure member safety, comfort, and engagement in all fitness activities.
- Spa & Member Services:
- Assist members with reservations, class sign-ups, and inquiries via member portals.
- Offer detailed knowledge of spa treatments, fitness offerings, and retail products.
- Process transactions accurately and reconcile end-of-shift reports.
- Greet members with professionalism and resolve concerns or scheduling conflicts promptly.
- Facility Excellence:
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of fitness and spa facilities, ensuring an inviting environment.
- Monitor supplies and equipment, proactively addressing maintenance or restocking needs.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance the overall club experience.
- Leadership & Service:
- Lead by example, consistently displaying a positive and service-oriented attitude.
- Maintain professional relationships with members while respecting their privacy and confidentiality.
- Address member concerns and resolve scheduling conflicts promptly.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous education opportunities.
- Comply with Silverleaf’s standards, regulations, and company policies to promote safe and efficient operations.
- Perform other duties as required by managers.
- Member and Guest Satisfaction:
- Ensure accurate accounting, transaction reconciliation, and booking efficiency.
- Assist with scheduling, reservations, and inquiries.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of fitness and spa areas.
Physical Requirements:
- Flexible schedule, with availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
- Ability to perform medium work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
- Must maintain a high level of physical fitness to perform job functions effectively.
Mental Requirements:
- Ability to maintain focus and composure in a fast-paced, high-end service environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts, guest concerns, and operational challenges.
- Excellent multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in reservations, transactions, and member interactions.
- Emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to build rapport with members and guests while maintaining professionalism.
Marginal Duties:
- Assist with special events and wellness programs hosted by the club.
- Support other departments during peak periods or special occasions as needed.
- Participate in marketing initiatives to promote fitness and spa services.
- Provide administrative support, such as maintaining accurate records of member interactions, equipment usage, or incident reports.
- Attend additional training sessions, workshops, and team-building activities as assigned.
- Perform other duties as requested by management to support the overall operations of the club.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Personal Training, Group Fitness, or a related field (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, or equivalent).
- Current CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor suited to a private club environment.
- Knowledge of fitness equipment, wellness programming, and luxury spa operations.
- Prior experience in a private club, luxury resort, or high-end fitness facility is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
