The Opportunity:
- You are responsible for managing plant employees to meet production safety, output, productivity and quality goals for your shift (directly) and across all shifts (coordination & sharing of best practices).
How you will impact Silvermine Stone:
- Establish a stable, motivated & well-trained team that meets company goals.
- Strive to increase all employee pay 40% by hitting specific & measurable productivity, quality, scrap & output targets by managing shift operations with constant emphasis on safety, quality, scrap, productivity, output & morale
- Maintain & improve plant safety by (1) enforcing regulations, (2) making overall improvement recommendations, and (3)ensuring employees are safety-conscious.
- Minimize labor overtime, downtime, and repair expenses.
- Protect & maintain the equipment.
What you need to succeed:
- MUST BE bilingual (speak both Spanish & English fluently)
- Production, operations, or manufacturing lead / supervisorexperience (concrete products experience a plus)
- Hands on approach to ensure (1) the basics are executed day-in and day-out, (2) production issues are resolved real-time and output impacts are minimized, and (3) the operation is improving continuously
- Quick study, mechanical aptitude (deal with maintenance issues) & problem-solving skills
- Independent & self-directed leader - you will be the senior person in the plant during your shift
- Motivating- help team hit bonus levels to increase pay
- Collaboration skills - work with other shift leads, senior management & ownership to meet short and long term objectives
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
