Job Summary
The Housekeeping Manager at Hampton Inn by Hilton Rockford is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department within a hospitality setting, ensuring that all areas are clean, well-maintained, and meet the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Duties
- Supervise and train housekeeping staff in cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any guest concerns or special requests.
- Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance evaluations to foster professional growth.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in all cleaning practices.
- Handle scheduling for housekeeping staff to ensure adequate coverage while managing labor costs effectively.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and custodial practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, guests, and other departments.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods is a plus but not required.
