Led by a culinary team with years of experience in fine dining, Silverside Deli is committed to raising the bar for deli food. As we continue to expand with new locations in 2025, we’re looking for enthusiastic Baristas/Cashiers who are passionate about food, coffee, and great service to join our team!

Position Overview:
As a Barista/Cashier, you’ll be the first face our customers see, providing them with a welcoming and exceptional experience from the moment they walk in. In addition to making excellent coffee and handling transactions, you’ll also play a key role in supporting our Expo Manager and kitchen staff during busy service times. This role is a mix of customer service, crafting caffeinated beverages, and team support, and requires someone who is flexible, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area, ensuring that orders are correctly processed, and assisting the Expo team and runners in delivering food quickly and efficiently. Your ability to multitask and keep the flow of service smooth will make a big impact on our overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Barista/Coffee Prep: Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks and coffee beverages, maintaining consistency and customer satisfaction.
• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and process payments accurately using the register. Provide product recommendations and answer customer questions about the menu.
• Supporting Expo & Runners: Assist the Expo Manager and runners by helping to plate or organize orders, ensuring that food is delivered to customers in a timely manner.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the front-of-house area tidy and organized, including the coffee station, counters, and customer seating areas.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with both front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless flow of service during busy periods, particularly during lunch rushes.
• Inventory and Stocking: Assist in stocking and organizing inventory, including coffee beans, syrups, and food items, as needed.
• Specialty Orders: Handle any special customer requests or dietary needs professionally and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Previous experience in a barista or cashier role is a plus, but not required. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn are more important.
• Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are key to providing excellent customer service.
• Team Player: Must be able to work effectively as part of a team, helping both the front-of-house and kitchen staff during peak service hours.
• Attention to Detail: A focus on accuracy, whether it’s taking orders or preparing drinks, to ensure every customer gets exactly what they want.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and stay active throughout a shift.
• Positive Attitude: We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, upbeat work environment and enjoys interacting with customers and team members.
