Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse
Location: Keysville, VA 23947

Shift Timing: Evening or Night

Hours per week: 40 Hours Per Week (Every Other Weekend Required)
Duration: 13 Weeks of Contract (High Chances of Extension)

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding. Provide wound care and other basic nursing procedures. Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to the registered nurse or physician.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Document administered medications, treatments, and nursing care provided. Record and report any unusual symptoms or reactions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and emotional support. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Assessment: Conduct basic assessments of patients' health status. Collect and analyze patient data to assist in the development of care plans. Participate in the development of care plans based on patient assessments.
• Education: Provide patient and family education on various health topics, including medication management and disease prevention. Instruct patients on self-care techniques.
• Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Adhere to healthcare facility policies, procedures, and protocols. Follow legal and ethical guidelines in nursing practice.
• Safety: Ensure patient safety and well-being. Follow infection control protocols. Monitor and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including RNs, physicians, and support staff. Communicate effectively within the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Professional Development: Stay updated on nursing practices, regulations, and advancements in healthcare. Pursue ongoing education and training to maintain licensure and enhance skills.

Requirements

• BLS Certificate
• LPN NC State License
• Covid Card

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.88 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
