Job Overview
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry, you will play a crucial role in monitoring patients' vital signs and telemetry readings, providing direct patient care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings to identify any abnormal patterns
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform venipuncture, IV insertions, and other nursing procedures
- Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and treatment plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide care for patients with various medical-surgical conditions
- Assist in the care of patients with memory care needs
- Support individuals with disabilities in a home community care setting
Required:
MED SURG
2 years experience required
24 beds on unit
Adult geriatric patient population
Urology cases, general surgery and trauma
EPIC charting
1:6 patient ratio
