Directs and ensures the efficient administration of the entire payroll process for our company. Strong analytical skills, independent thinker, proactive approach to problem solving. Daily use of UKG Ready, report building, bi-weekly payroll processing, quarterly tax reports, end of the year compliance. This role also includes wage/benefit administration, benefit billing and safety and worker’s compensation tracking. Strong in compliance with statutory requirements and record keeping.

Responsibilities
The following are specific contributions that describe the responsibilities of the role:
- Primary office location in Nashua, NH representing Silverstone Living and all of its subsidiaries.
- Performs and oversees administrative duties related to payroll including processing bi-weekly payroll for all Silverstone Living entities; approximately 450 team members.
- Trainer on payroll duties utilizing our online resource - UKG Ready; ensure the team is familiar with online resources including the UKG app.
- Balances paid time off, sets up rules in UKG for administration of PTO based on balances earned and thresholds passed.
- Administers benefit billing, processes payments, coordinates with Accounting.
- Completes employment verification requests.
- Designs and distributes payroll related reports.
- Conducts audits utilizing UKG reporting to track benefit status including full-time, part-time, casual and per diem status. Match benefit elections and payments appropriately.
- Monitor and process termination requests including final paycheck processing.
- Prepare retirement planning payroll reports for plan processing; assist with annual compliance needs including communication letters as needed.
- Track and process incentive programs such as referral bonus, sign-on bonus, annual incentives and check processing.
- Participating member of The Huntington at Nashua and Hunt Community’s Safety Committees. Organize and prepare annual OSHA record keeping posting and filing requirements. Monitor light-duty requests, communicate with Worker’s Compensation vendor and employees on cases and updates, modified light duty agreements etc.
- Ensure the payroll SOP training guide is always updated.
- Bi-weekly payroll processing, quarterly tax reports, reconciliations, year-end process including W-2 and ACA compliance.
- Participate in regular UKG online training programs and implement updates as appropriate.
- Self-audit on a regular basis, work in collaboration with Accounting to ensure payroll related accounts are posted to the GL / budgets appropriately.
- Expert in payroll regulations and strong at identifying training needs and/or updates pertaining to payroll compliance.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on-site on a regular basis.
- Strong in systems including HRIS, timekeeping, office work.
- Primary duty is office work. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks including typing, filing and sitting at a desk. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Six years of payroll office experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Retirement Community, Hotel, Hospital environments preferred.
- Able to set priorities, plan, organize work independently and meet recurring deadlines.
- Effective communication skills including verbal and written with strong attention to detail.
- Thorough knowledge of HR practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters including OSHA and Worker’s Compensation practices.
- Ability to perform complex calculations for salary and benefit administration.
- Conduct training on payroll processes. Provide feedback as appropriate with a customer service approach.
