Position: Dietary Department
The Dietary Department is led by a committed individual with over 25 years of service to the RSP family. She has spent two and a half decades dedicated to the well-being of our residents, and she is equally committed to the growth and success of the dietary aides. Whether you’re just starting your career or bringing years of experience, the director offers her wisdom and guidance to every member of the team. Our dietary aides are a team of dedicated men and women who provide exceptional service every day, ensuring our residents are well-fed, nourished, and healthy.
Dining Room and Kitchen Setup & Breakdown:
- Set up dining tables before meals, ensuring they are clean and properly arranged.
- Assist with preparing the kitchen and dining areas for service.
- Break down dining room setup after meals, ensuring everything is cleaned and properly stored.
Resident Needs:
- Attend to the specific dietary needs and preferences of residents.
- Ensure residents are comfortable during meals and receive the correct portion sizes and types of food based on their dietary requirements.
Dishwashing and Sanitation:
- Wash dishes, silverware, trays, and glasses as needed during and after meals.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards for kitchen and dining equipment.
Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve beverages (coffee, juice, etc.) for residents.
- Set up drink stations or prepare beverages in advance if necessary.
Cooperation with Other Staff:
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen and dining room staff, as well as other departments within the facility, to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain open communication with kitchen staff, nursing, and other aides to meet residents' needs.
Serving Food:
- Serve food to residents in a manner that is appetizing and visually appealing.
- Ensure the food looks attractive, is at the correct temperature, and is served in a timely manner.
- Provide positive customer service and respond to any requests or concerns from residents.
Post-Meal Clean-Up:
- Sweep and mop floors after meals to ensure the dining area is clean and safe.
Dispose of trash and recyclables properly
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
