Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA ) - Part time or PRN (approx 20-30 hrs/week)
Are you a passionate PTA ( Physical Therapy Assistant ) looking for a change that allows flexible hours? As a PTA , you would be assisting at our LTC facilities in Rolla (Silverstone Place and Cedar Pointe), you would be able to work independently, be dependable, compassionate and have a desire to help others. As an PTA you are under the direction and supervision of the Therapy Director.
Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA ) - Responsibilities
- Treat patients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function
- Monitor a patient's activities to make sure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement
- Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for patients
- Document patient’s weekly progress in appropriate records
- Maintain the office treatment areas, equipment, and supply inventory
- Instruct patients, their families and any other caregivers in skills and techniques of the patient's treatment program
- Maintain valid certification
