The Director of Housekeeping and Laundry at Silverstone Place has been a vital part of the team since 2022. In their role, they have demonstrated strong leadership in both maintaining the facility’s cleanliness and ensuring a safe environment for staff and residents alike. Beyond overseeing housekeeping and laundry operations, they also serve as the lead maintenance director, further enhancing their impact by contributing to the facility's overall upkeep and safety protocols. The supervisor of housekeeping and laundry has been an invaluable member of our team since Silverstone Place first opened its doors in 2015. This dedicated team member works closely with our maintenance director to ensure that our environment remains pristine at all times. Hands-on throughout the day, the supervisor actively sweeps, polishes, and inspects every corner of the facility, ensuring that Silverstone Place shines. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments, the supervisor also manages the scheduling and provides assistance to staff, ensuring that everyone is supported in their roles. Like the rest of the management team, the supervisor is deeply involved in day-to-day operations, working side by side with the team.
Position: Housekeeping
General Housekeeping Perform daily cleaning tasks as assigned, such as dusting, wiping down surfaces, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility.
Furniture and Fixtures Cleaning: Clean and polish furniture, ledges, heaters, A/C units, picture frames, and any resident belongings.
Windows and Mirrors: Ensure windows and mirrors are clean and free of streaks.
Bathrooms Thoroughly clean all areas of the bathroom, including walls, ceiling, floors, tubs, and showers.
Trash Removal Take out trash from residents’ rooms and other areas within the facility.
afety Concerns: Report any potential hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Pathway Clearances Keep hallways clear of obstacles such as furniture or equipment that might block passageways.
Housekeeping Cart Security Always lock the housekeeping cart when it is not in use.
Bed Management Ensure empty beds are in the highest position and made neatly.
Deep Cleaning: Perform deeper cleaning tasks as assigned by the supervisor, which may involve more intensive tasks or areas in need of extra attention.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
