What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snow Removal Laborer position at Silvis Group Inc?
Do you have snow removal experience and want to earn some extra money this winter? Do you get laid off from your summer job or is your full-time job slow in the winter? Are you in college but have extra time? We would love to talk with you about our seasonal snow removal positions. We are willing to work around other jobs and school schedules.
Silvis Group, Inc., is a locally owned business serving the Fayette and Westmoreland Counties of Pennsylvania. Silvis is currently hiring seasonal laborers and operators for snow removal work. Sidewalk, tractor, loader and truck positions are available.
Routes are approximately 5-6 hours, but additional hours are typically available if desired. Shifts are on-call, as the work is dependent on the weather.
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Perform snow removal services in assigned area
- Operate and maintain snow removal equipment such as shovels, salt spreaders, snow blowers, skid loaders, ATV's, vehicles with plow blades, and other power and manually operated tools
- Be on call during all snow events
- Ability to work extended hours (including nights and weekends)
- Available to work in significant snowstorms
- Must be reliable and dedicated to showing up
- Must be able to handle cold weather, and work long shifts, when necessary
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
Experience:
- Sidewalks: No experience necessary
- Tractor / Salt Truck Drivers: 2-3 Years experience
Licenses / Certifications:
- PA Driver’s License (Preferred)
