Cable Technician
Temporary Position/On Call
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Cable Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of phone cable systems. You’ll be on the front lines, diagnosing issues, ensuring seamless service, and providing technical expertise to help maintain high-quality phone connections.
Key Responsibilities:
· Installation: Run cable lines, install jacks, and connect telephone systems.
· Maintenance & Repair: Perform regular maintenance on cables and connectors,
replacing or repairing parts as needed.
· Testing & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve phone cable issues, ensuring optimal performance.
· Customer Support: Provide clear explanations and technical support to customers regarding their phone systems.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
· Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards while working on-site.
· Inventory Management: Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are properly managed and maintained.
Qualifications:
· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
· High School Diploma or GED
· Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
· Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
· Clearance Level: National Agency Check (NAC) and must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment, up to 50 pounds.
· Comfortable working in a variety of settings, including tight spaces and at heights.
