SiMa.ai is looking for a Sr. Director of North America Sales to join our North America team to drive sales activities for our leading machine learning software-enabled-semiconductor company. As a regional Sales leader, you will bring your deep-rooted understanding of the market, further research potential markets and prioritizing target customers. You will be contacting new customers to introduce them to SiMa.ai products and win designs, providing sales support to existing customers to ensure an effortless ramp to production revenue while expanding SiMa.ai’s penetration within the North America customer base. Sales responsibilities will include revenue and design win forecasting, meeting / exceeding revenue and design win goals, pricing negotiations, and all other facets of sales to win business and drive revenue.

The Annual salary for this position ranges from $227,500 to $296,400 plus variable incentive (MBO/sales-commission). The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experiences, qualifications, expertise, work location, total target compensation, training, company needs, and current market demands. The annual salary range for this position is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.

Role
This role encompasses the below key areas of responsibility:
- Primary evangelist of SiMa.ai and customer champion that brings and develops exec level relationships across all top tier customers and government agencies in North America.
- Identify sales opportunities in targeted verticals.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and business proposals to customers.
- Drive product positioning, pricing, and contract negotiations
- Guide customers through various steps of the sales pipeline process
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for North America that supports the company’s revenue ramp-up plans.
- Establish long-term business relationships with revenue/growth customers and create qualified sales opportunities with these customers, including evangelizing SiMa.ai to government and commercial agencies and consortia.
- Actively channel market intelligence and drive voice of customer insights and share with product management and engineering
- Actively seek and represent SiMa.ai to the media, industry events, and tradeshows, including leading as primary Media and Business contact for Government agencies, Customer, and Partners.
- Collaborate with the global executive leadership and different functions including Marketing and Engineering to execute agreed sales projects/programs and initiatives for North America.
This role requires a seasoned Sales leader who is hands-on, engaged, proactive, accountable and results driven. In particular we require:
- Bachelor degree (or higher) preferably in computer science or electrical or electronics engineering. MS/MBA is highly preferred.
- 20 years of sales and business development experience in a leadership role selling to customers/market (most preferably semiconductor IP or embedded edge and/or software products).
- Strong and established business relationship and demonstrated success selling into one or more of the markets: Robotics, Surveillance, Autonomous systems and Automotive markets or Vision applications is required.
- Identify the right GTM for the products in the North America market and make a case to build the necessary supporting infrastructure for the same.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully and consistently growing revenue for new innovative technology-based solutions with focus on qualifying new customers and business opportunities.
- Deep rooted and extensive relationships with business leaders, government agencies, trade forums/institutions, and consortia.
- Strong and established business relationship with key customers and ecosystem partners in North America.
- Ability to quickly learn AI and ML basics to have meaningful conversations with prospects.
- Good to have operating level understanding of embedded processor systems and architectures and ML solutions for the embedded applications.
- Able to articulate complex product and technical content to customers and partners.
- Ability to marshal internal resources and drive them to deliver customer needs.
