What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Manager/Senior Technician position at Simbe Robotics Inc?
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Shop Manager / Technician to oversee and streamline the daily operations of our shop. Simbe's Shop Manager / Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly shop environment, keeping inventory of components used for R&D and testing, and assisting with assembly / installation of R&D projects. This position will report to the Staff Mechanical Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
- Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining adequate stock levels
- Assembling prototype hardware and providing assembly process feedback for engineering teams
- Performing hands-on diagnostics and repairs of assemblies / subassemblies
- Install and / or replace components in existing Tally robots
- Follow SOPs to set up hardware and test hardware
- Maintain and troubleshoot shop equipment to ensure continuous operation
- Assist with shipping and receiving
- Performs other related duties as assigned

30 - $38 an hour
Hourly pay is dependent on experience and location. Overtime eligible.
