What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Engineer position at SimCare AI (YC S24)?
TL;DR : We’re looking for someone who can craft agent-heavy applications using Next.js, Node, Supabase, and AWS. You’ll be building ai sims for healthcare students and workers to talk to—and get instant, data-driven insights.
Big Picture :
Healthcare training is stuck in a major rut using outdated methods that don't work anymore. SimCare AI is here to change that. We’re creating AI patients for clinical training across both education and industry. Think of it like having an unlimited supply of diverse patients, each conversation meticulously analyzed for teaching moments. The result? Next-gen training that’s more engaging, adaptive, and useful.
We’re not just building a product . We’re reimagining how doctors, nurses, and clinicians learn and refine their skills. That means plenty of complex LLM magic under the hood, a constantly evolving feature set, and the chance to directly impact how healthcare works.
What you’ll be doing :
- Building from scratch : You’ll own entire features, from the initial idea all the way to production.
- Agents : We use agentic flows on both the patient side and our evaluation system. Being able to work with large orchestrations of agents is at the core of building at SimCare.
- Architecture : Both applications architecture and agent orchestration.
- The stack : Next.js, Node, Supabase, AWS.
- Collaborating with co-founders : Our team is small, so your ideas and decisions will shape the product’s direction. We have a culture of including everyone in the company in big decisions, technical or otherwise.
