Job Summary
A Parts and Accessories Sales Associate (“Parts Salesperson”) is responsible for facilitating customer requests for parts and accessories help, and general knowledge, on a day to day basis. You will be responsible for assisting the department in inventory management and loss prevention in addition to selling product to both internal and external customers, in person, and over the phone. You will also be responsible for working with the department manager to meet and exceed department invoice, profitability, and other goals / budgets.
Key Result Areas for Parts Salesperson
1. Maintains a sales focused environment that utilizes the company’s sales process and customer satisfaction expectations to capitalize on every sale.
2. Volume of both individual, and department sales.
3. Customer Service feedback (both verbal and written as measured with the Customer Experience Index (CXI).
4. Entering of accurate customer information on all transactions to accurately manage returns, and aid in the company’s marketing programs.
5. Accuracy and efficiency of transactions.
6. Adherence to company policies and procedures as required for manager “sign-offs”.
7. Consistency and quality of customer greetings / interactions.
8. Quality, creativity, and consistency of visual merchandising cleanliness / orderliness of product display areas.
Principle Activities Include
1. Greeting and acknowledging all customers who enter the dealership.
2. Actively listening to the parts and accessories the customer is looking for, and using the Dealership Management System (DMS) to fulfill their request.
3. Handling customer interactions with helpful, sales focused conversation, and bringing specific additional items to the attention of customers (suggestive sales techniques).
4. Deal with customer service / product supply issues sensitively and sympathetically, and offer quick feedback on back orders, returns, and warranties.
5. Accurately process sales transactions (cash, credit card, and gift card), special order transactions, pick-up transactions, store credits / returns / exchanges, and online store transactions.
6. Counting and reconciling cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
7. Maintaining cautious awareness in an attempt to prevent internal and external theft (informing fellow employees / Manager quickly of suspicious customers).
8. Assisting department managers with perpetual inventory maintenance (cycle counts, complete inventory counts, etc) against DMS.
9. Clean, organize, and restock product shelves and fixtures to fill gaps. Ensure the parts warehouse is clean and organized at all times.
10. Provide exceptional customer service by quickly greeting all customers, courteously handling telephone transactions, and informing customers about current sales or specials.
11. Work directly with the Service Department to provide parts support as needed (special orders, etc.)
12. Assist with Shipping and Receiving duties as assigned, once trained.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
