We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent to join our team. This role is responsible for the onsite production of construction projects, including directing crafts personnel and subcontractors, maintaining quality control, ensuring compliance with project plans and schedules, and promoting a culture of safety and teamwork. The Assistant Superintendent will also manage short- and long-term production schedules, coordinate jobsite meetings, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and service.
Responsibilities Include:
- Plan and supervise Foremen and craft activities, including determining construction methods, manpower levels, materials, and equipment needs.
- Coordinate assigned work among various crafts, departments, and contractors.
- Maintain open communication with the owner, engineers, project manager, and planning team to ensure project alignment with drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Assist in resolving construction issues, such as productivity challenges or work sequences.
- Conduct weekly jobsite coordination and safety meetings.
- Schedule equipment usage and administer the jobsite safety program.
- Document actual hours worked and maintain accurate project records.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Proven experience with construction methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to manage and supervise large teams effectively.
- Experience with Mission Critical environments or similar projects preferred.
- Strong communication skills—open, direct, and honest.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk continuously; bend, squat, and climb stairs frequently.

- Work in varied environments, including extreme heat or cold, high elevations, and outdoor settings.
- Office, workstation, job trailer, or jobsite environments.
