Provides strong organizational leadership to drive efficiency in forecast methodology through reliable data and an analytics-based process. To include designing framework around Demand Forecast Unit, UOM, and resourcing plans to support error reduction over time. Requires the technical skills / abilities to learn and operate Oracle’s Cloud Fusion Enterprise Requirement Planning (ERP) toolset.
Essential Position Responsibilities- This is a salary position
S&OP / IBP Processes : Applies expertise of demand planning and Sales forecasting efforts to effectively participate in the monthly S&OP cycles. Collaborates with key stakeholders during demand consensus. Develops and identifies solutions to close gaps. Additionally, supports the monthly Demand Management Review to drive unconstrained consensus forecast in the S&OP cycle and downstream supply planning and execution processes.
ERP / Demand Management Support : Lead the discovery work, scoping and implementation of an AI enabled promotional planning tools to be integrated with the demand planning application inclusive of attributes such as pricing changes, customer distribution changes, commodity market adjustments, product changes and introductions. Leverage understanding of forecasting leading practices (i.e. tools, concepts) to improve adoption of standardized processes and increase forecast accuracy via forecast value-add.
Business Unit Collaboration : Creates a process for synthesizing inputs from a variety of sales roles and industry / market sources relying on data-driven processes using predictive analytics to reduce the impact of subjectivity. Delivers Sales value to the baseline forecast by coaching and establishing process and training for Sales stakeholders to provide insight during the forecasting steps in the S&OP process. Ensures the Sales team executes on a standardized process to accurately enter data in a timely manner for events that will impact demand integrated with the demand planning application at a recurring cadence.
Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues, e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy within the larger organization.
Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives : Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) : As needed by facility.
Travel : May travel within North America to and from multiple facilities or worksites, requiring overnight stays.
Technical Experience : 7-10 years’ experience in data analytics and supply chain / logistics or related field. Proven ability to utilize a business intelligence software to analyze and present data to drive business decisions.
Industry Experience : Preference for pet or people food processing organization.
Minimum Education : Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 4 years related experience
