Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests and analyses on construction materials to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, equipment operation, and laboratory practices. The Construction Laboratory Technician will work closely with engineers and project managers on various construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field tests on construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
- Operate heavy machinery such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, backhoes, graders, and bulldozers as needed.
- Assist in utility locating to ensure safe excavation practices.
- Collect samples from construction sites for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards on-site.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical support and recommendations based on test results.
- Participate in the development of testing procedures and methodologies.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a construction environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction site operations including paving processes is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in conducting tests and reporting findings.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $20.78 - $22.42 per hour
