JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Vice President, University Real Estate Development and Facilities Management, the Assistant Vice President plays a key role in the execution and oversight of the strategic management of the University physical plant, drives significant revenue production from auxiliary services (leases, parking, dining, vending), leads construction management, and serves as the primary liaison with external vendors. This includes significant budget planning and strategic budget management. Serve as the main strategic partner for Vice President on all matters related to the real estate, physical plant, and revenue production for the division.

Real Estate and Facilities :
- Develop, monitor, update the Operating and Capital Budgets for the Facilities and Auxiliary Services Division of over $15M.
- Make recommendations related to all capital and maintenance projects on campus; including preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to all portions of the campus physical plant.
- Provide updates to the Facilities Committee of the Board of Trustees in partnership with the Vice President.
- Work with University administration to continuously improve the service levels and fulfill responsibilities in support of the Strategic Plan and other initiatives, including service level agreements outlined in the workorder system.
- Lead the facilities sub-committee of the Living and Learning Center (LLC) Steering Committee to successfully transition from the current residence campus into the new 400,000 square-foot LLC in Fall of 2026.
- Participate in all construction planning meetings for the LLC and all other major projects on campus. Develops training plans and budgets for the Facilities maintenance technicians with the goal of enhancing their skills and improving operations;
- Assist with the negotiation of Union Contracts and the management of a 3-year training plan (as required by the Union contract) for the Facilities team to ensure their readiness to operate and maintain the new LLC building in the future state.
