JOB SUMMARY
The Simmons One Stop Office is a hub for student services; including financial aid, billing, registration, and veteran benefits. The Enrollment Services Advisor, reporting to the Enrollment Business Services Manager, serves as the first point of contact in Student Financial Services, offering customer support, problem-solving, and managing routine to complex inquiries related to students' enrollment and financial needs. The Advisor is trained in Student Financial Services and supports the broader One Stop Office.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Provide exceptional customer service to the Simmons educational community as it relates to financial aid, scholarship funding, billing, and payment.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the One Stop to find resolutions to general inquiries related to other One Stop Student Business Services; including but not limited to registration, student record changes, student employment, and military and veteran benefits.
- Meet with walk-ins, answer and return phone calls, and respond to emails in a delegated inbox in a timely manner.
- Evaluate complex student inquiries and escalate to appropriate team member(s). Follow through with all necessary processes required to ensure successful resolution of these issues.
- Actively engage in a full review of the student's status and the reverberating impact of any requested change(s) to ensure that changes in one area will not cause conflicts in another areas or impact the student's degree completion.
- Effectively apply, explain, and uphold school and federal policies.
- Support operational workflow of the One Stop by efficiently and accurately tracking and filing all confidential student documentation.
- Maintain accurate entries and documentation in the University's financial aid system (PowerFaids).
- Provide support to team members during periods of high volume that follow the annual academic lifecycle.
