Job Summary
SGH is looking for a Financial Analyst Intern for Summer 2025 to assist in investment performance analysis, company KPI review, and the evaluation of new investment opportunities.
This is an in-person, paid position based in Birmingham, MI. Intern should be undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to assess the company’s financial health and performance.
- Maintain internal databases; gather and maintain company and performance data across multiple sources and databases.
- Prepare and present clear, concise, and insightful financial reports for Management and Senior Operational roles highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations for Executive Management.
- Play a key role in analysis of investment opportunities and capital expenditures utilizing Net Present Value, Discounted Cash Flow, Internal Rate of Return and distribution waterfall structures.
- Build out in-depth financial and market analysis about industries, companies and assets.
