Accounts Payable Specialist

Simon Roofing, a leader in the Commercial Roofing Industry, is currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented accounting professional to join our Account Payable team. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills, have great attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.

Accounts Payable Responsibilities: The accounts payable specialist is responsible for managing outgoing payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining vendor relationships.

• Review, obtain approval, and process incoming invoices
• Match invoices with purchase order documents
• Properly code invoices into the financial system
• Prepare check runs
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Manage company credit cards and resolve disputes
• Work closely with purchasing to commit and correctly code invoices
• Assist with month-end closing and accruals related to Accounts Payable
• Manage company storage rentals
• Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation and adjustments
• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls
• Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Accounts Payable Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP (REQUIRED)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Business Central
• High level of accuracy and organizational skills
• Great attention to detail
  
  

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor degree in a related field (Preferred but NOT required)
• Minimum Two (2) years of Accounts Payable or relatedexperience (Required)
