Simon & Schuster is seeking a Publicity Assistant to work closely with and support two publicity directors. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn all aspects of the book publishing and publicity process, and work on commercial fiction, literary fiction, and high-profile non-fiction titles.
Responsibilities include :
- Administrative duties.
- Involvement in all aspects of publicity campaigns including creating press materials, researching media contacts and trends, booking tours, mailing books, submitting awards, and pitching media.
- Leading paperback publicity campaigns.
- Helping with special projects at S&S, such as scheduling celebrity tapings and attending author events.
Qualifications :
Must be organized and have excellent phone and computer skills with a working knowledge of social media and influencers. Strong written communication is important, as well as the ability to multitask and be flexible.
