Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) is a global Jewish human rights organization that confronts anti-Semitism and hate, defends the safety of Israel and Jews worldwide, and teaches the lessons of the Holocaust through awareness, advocacy, justice, education, and its Museums of Tolerance. With a constituency of over 400,000 member families since its founding in 1977, the SWC has an international footprint through its Museums of ToleranceMoriah Films, and the Digital Terrorism Hate Project. 

 

Headquartered in Los Angeles, it maintains operations in New York, Chicago, Miami, Toronto, Paris, Berlin, Jerusalem, and Buenos Aires. It is an accredited Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) at the United Nations, UNESCO, the Organization of American States, the Latin American Parliament, and the Council of Europe and maintains relationships with the highest levels of governments throughout the world. 

 

In 1993, the Center opened the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles to worldwide acclaim. The Museum has served as the Center’s flagship educational arm, challenging visitors to confront bigotry and racism, and to understand the Holocaust in both historical and contemporary contexts. In addition, the Center developed Moriah Media to produce theatrical documentaries to educate global audiences. Moriah has produced 17 documentaries to date, two of which have received the Academy Award for best feature documentary, The Long Way Home and Genocide.

 

Position Overview: 

The Executive Business Partner, Office of the CEO, plays a pivotal role in supporting the CEO's strategic vision and overseeing key initiatives. This individual will manage cross-functional projects, facilitate senior leadership meetings, and ensure smooth execution of critical business initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker, with strong communication skills and a deep commitment to The Simon Wiesenthal Center's mission. A key aspect of this role is serving as a liaison with the Board of Trustees and fostering connections with Jewish organizations globally, with a focus on advancing the Center's strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution

  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects on behalf of the CEO, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Set clear deadlines, track progress, and hold project stakeholders accountable to ensure the successful completion of initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO on the status of key projects, highlighting milestones, challenges, and opportunities.

 

Strategic Support & Decision-Making

  • Conduct in-depth research, gather data, and synthesize information to provide insights that inform CEO decision-making.
  • Assist in evaluating risk factors and provide thoughtful analysis to support critical business decisions.
  • Oversee the preparation of high-level presentations, reports, and data summaries for the CEO to present to key stakeholders.

 

Meeting Coordination & Facilitation

  • Prepare meeting agendas in collaboration with the CEO
  • Facilitate meetings by taking detailed notes, following up on action items, and ensuring follow-through on decisions made.
  • Assist in coordinating post-meeting actions, ensuring deliverables are met in a timely manner and that outcomes are clearly communicated to all parties.

 

High-Priority Initiative Leadership

  • Lead, support, and track progress on high-priority strategic initiatives, working directly with the CEO and senior executives to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership as they develop new initiatives, providing support and ensuring strategic alignment with the CEO’s vision.

 

Trustee Engagement & Communication

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and logistics of Trustee meetings, ensuring all materials are prepared, distributed, and that meetings run smoothly.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Trustee communications, managing requests, follow-ups, and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Support Trustee engagement with the effective flow of information and helping to address Trustee inquiries, initiatives and oversight of the online 

 

Jewish Organization Engagement

  • Foster strong relationships with Jewish organizations, community leaders, and stakeholders to advance the mission of the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
  • Represent the CEO in meetings as needed to present and/or gather information to ensure he is fully informed and best positioned to support the meetings agenda.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work across departments to support collaboration and ensure that key initiatives are executed efficiently and effectively.

 

Hands-On Project Support

  • Provide hands-on support to transform abstract ideas into actionable plans, driving progress and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Continuously monitor the progress of special projects, offering guidance and adjustments as needed to keep projects on track.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in project management or executive support, preferably within a nonprofit, governmental, or large organizational environment.
  • Experience working with boards of trustees and fostering relationships with Jewish organizations or similar entities is a plus.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

 

Skills:

  • Proven expertise in project management, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise reports and presentations.
  • Comfortable with digital tools and platforms, and quick to adopt new technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities, capable of providing actionable recommendations with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative personality who understands that working together gets maximized results.
  • Ability to interact with Sr. Executives and high-profile individuals in a confident, professional, and supportive way.  
  • Recognition that the persons professional demeanor and ability to stay calm under pressure are key to representing the office of the CEO.
  • Skilled in collaboration and relationship-building at all organizational levels, driving results through influence and teamwork.
  • Deep understanding of the Jewish community, its organizations, and key global issues.

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
