In addition, the Center developed Moriah Media to produce theatrical documentaries to educate global audiences. Moriah has produced 17 documentaries to date, two of which have received the Academy Award for best feature documentary, The Long Way Home and Genocide.
Position Overview:
The Simon Wiesenthal Center is seeking a Temp Donor Services Coordinator for a Part-Time position to oversee and enhance all aspects of gift processing, donor stewardship, and data management. This position ensures that donor contributions are accurately processed and acknowledged while providing exceptional customer service to donors. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience in gift processing, and a commitment to creating positive relationships with donors to support the mission of the Center.

Key Responsibilities:
Gift Processing & Acknowledgment:
- Accurately process and record all incoming donations, including online, mail, and phone gifts.
- Ensure timely and accurate generation of acknowledgment letters and tax receipts for all donations.
- Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly donation reports with the finance team to ensure accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to gift processing and donor accounts.
Data Management & Direct Mail Support:
- Maintain and update donor records in the CRM/database, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
- Identify and correct duplicate or inaccurate donor records to maintain a clean and accurate database.
Donor Support & Stewardship:
- Respond to donor inquiries regarding donations, receipts, and account updates in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors via phone, email, and mail.
- Assist with fulfilling donor benefits and special stewardship materials, ensuring donors feel valued and appreciated.
Reporting & Reconciliation:
- Collaborate with the finance and development teams to ensure the reconciliation of donations and the accurate tracking of gift data.
- Monitor recurring gift transactions and follow up on failed payments to ensure donors continued support
Administrative & Special Projects:
- Assist with mailings, including donor acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, and pledge reminders, to maintain strong communication with donors.
- Support fundraising campaigns and special projects as needed, contributing to the overall success of campaigns.
- Stay up to date with best practices in donor services and gift processing, continually improving processes and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 24 years of experience in donor services, gift processing, or a similar role (nonprofit experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, Raisers Edge, or similar CRM systems).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Experience in data segmentation, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with finance, development, and other teams.
