Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards:

Must have a good working knowledge of part numbers and part usage and understand applications for use.
Able to properly document and record orders being packaged and prepared for customer orders, recording counts, weights, item numbers, lot numbers and locations accurately.
Accurately document internal stock movements on the proper forms
Ability to work in a team environment
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Prepares and expedites shipments: Determines labeling requirements including but not limited to: Assemble and pack product containers, preparing and affixing shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information for cartons, skids or other storage devices in an accurate manner including any special labels that are customer required.
Proper operation of equipment to safety and productivity requirements, including but not limited to:
Lift truck or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-workers and departments.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY With minimal supervision, demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems, interpret, resolving problems and issues using a variety of instructions or guides furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must be able to become certified and maintain certification through an OSHA approved forklift, HAZWOP, RCRA, Hazardous Waste and DOT Hazardous certification, and Crane operation certification.

The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing areas were under certain conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining. Industrial lighting provided.
This is a Monday-Friday position. Hours are 11am-7pm. Some weekends are required.
