Summary/Objective
The Recycling Operator position sets up and ensures the continuous operation of the shredding and grinding line under supervision and direction of the production supervisor.

Essential Functions
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Completes machine pre-checks and performs various tasks: feed conveyors by hand, watches for contaminates, keeps area clean and uniform, turn knobs, push buttons.
- Utilizes standard mechanical and electrical machinery, functional tools and measuring devices.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
- Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
- Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations
Required Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or GED
- Math and Computer Skills
- Forklift Experience
- Hand Tools and Measuring Devices (tape measure)
- Demonstration good communication skills
