Summary/Objective
The Extruder Operator position sets up and ensures the continuous operation of the extruder line(s) under supervision and direction of the production supervisor.

The employee must stand 8-12 hours per day and is occasionally required to bend, squat, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift. Additional hours during the week or on weekends may be required according to production demands.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Pay
$18.00 base rate
The Extruder Operator position sets up and ensures the continuous operation of the extruder line(s) under supervision and direction of the production supervisor.
Essential Functions

- Completes machine set up and performs various tasks: torque die by hand, scoop color, move drums, connect equipment, turn knobs, push buttons, move sheet.
- Utilizes standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and measuring devices.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
- Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
- HS Diploma or GED
- Math and Computer Skills
- Hand Tools and Measuring Devices (micrometer, tape measure)
- Forklift Experience
- Demonstration good communication skills
