Simone's Kitchen is a local, award-winning, fast-casual Mediterranean eatery that began in 2018. We've made a big splash in the Capital Region by offering high-quality, from-scratch, quick, affordable meals made from the heart—The Mediterranean Way! We are passionate about creating a supportive work environment and changing the hospitality industry's standards while pushing the boundaries on ingenuity and creativity.
About Me
I am Bashir Chedrawee, a 32-year-old entrepreneur. My entrepreneurial journey began after college, inspired by my mother, Simone, and her way of cooking. This led to the creation and growth of Simone's Kitchen, a fast-casual Mediterranean concept that has grown to three locations (with a fourth in the works!). I am now expanding into other ventures and searching for someone to assist me across the board with everything it takes to run and grow a start up.
About the Role
This person will need to be resourceful, energetic, and willing to learn. You will support me in any of the tasks required to run a growing business. This includes anything from clerical work (email management, scheduling, research), to HR Support, and project management. You will need to be comfortable with the ever-changing demands of a growing business and willing to roll your sleeves up when necessary to get the job done!
Responsibilities:
- Managing emails and correspondence
- Scheduling and organizing meetings
- Document proofreading and editing
- Supporting project tasks
- Researching
- Attending and contributing to project meetings
- Providing feedback and suggestions
- Knowledge of basic design and Canva
- Working on hand-on projects
- Assisting in normal, everyday restaurant operations
Skills & Requirements:
- Excellent research and organizational skills
- Effective communication; punctual and reliable
- Proficient in digital tools (Google Drive, Trello, Canva) and willing to learn new software
- Proactive in problem-solving; able to work independently
- High level of trust and integrity; must sign an NDA
