What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payment Posting Manager position at SimonMed?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage a team responsible for the daily processing and reconciliation of cash receipts.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of payments and adjustments to all accounts.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline the cash application process.
- Collaborate with other departments cross-functionally to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess departmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Train, mentor, and develop staff to ensure a high level of productivity and professionalism.
- Manage the relationship with offshore vendors involved in cash application processes, ensuring SLAs are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Tracks, maintains, and monitors employee metrics and ensures quality audits are completed timely and consistently.
- Implements cross functional training and succession planning as allowable.
- Plans, monitors, appraises, and reviews staff job contributions.
- Creates future roadmaps and outlines target dates for goals.
- Conducts regular meetings with each team and provides suggestions for improvement as well as communicates with Sr. Leadership/Management.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Manages credit balance inventory to ensure credit balances and refund requests are resolved within expected turnaround times for both patient and insurance refund inventory.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
- At least four (4) years of revenue cycle experience preferred.
- At least two (2) years of supervisory/management/leadership experience preferred.
- At least two (3.5) years of posting experience preferred.
License/Certification:
- Billing Program Completion: preferred
Experience:
- Radiology Experience preferred
- Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements.
- Knowledge of radiology codes.
- Knowledge of a variety of insurance plans to include payer portals.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner.
- Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast paced environment.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills.
- Strong management skills
- Strong mathematical skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions; computing percentages; and working with decimals
- Lockbox reconciliation experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
